Connect 567 Spring Retreat

We are so excited to be doing a Spring Retreat on March 24-26, 2023! The weekend will be packed with lessons from Pastor Trevor, yummy food, and tons of fun. The cost will be $50, and you can click here to register.  

The deadline for registration is March 10. If you have not filled out a medical release form for your child, there will be some at the front desk of the church. 

You can drop your kids off at the church on Friday, March 24, at 2:00 pm. We will be gathering for our sessions and games at the church. The boys will be staying at the Church, and the girls will be staying at Collin and Hannah Lane's house. Friday and Saturday will include a bonfire at the cabin, three sessions with Pastor Trevor, a service project, and plenty of food and games! We will bring the students to church on Sunday, and you will pick them up from there!

5K Run Walk - April 1, 2023

The 5K Run Walk is on April 1st. This is a fundraiser specifically for the mission trip and for church camp. In order for a student to benefit from the fundraiser, they must be present and actively participating and/or serving at the event. If your student cannot be there that day, please let me know!

The event will take place at the Depot, and the race will go down C St and, at a certain point, turn around and come back down C St to end at the Depot. After the race, we will be selling lunches for participants, spectators, and church families. As you can tell, this will require a lot of hands to pull off. I would love for you to invest in your student’s experience with the mission trip and church camp by signing up to serve at the 5K Run Walk.

Lame Games Winner Saturday Event - May 13, 2023

At the beginning of January, we continued a Connect Church youth group tradition by bringing back Lame Games. This is a competition between Junior High and Senior High over the entire semester. Points are awarded for attendance, games, reciting memory verses and FWB catechisms, bringing friends, and so much more. The winning team at the end of the semester will win a trip to paintball, zip-lining, trampoline park, or something of that nature. The winning team gets to choose what they would like to do…within reason of course… 

Waco Mission Trip - June 1-6, 2023

Our next team meeting is on March 5th. That is not this upcoming Sunday but the next. We will be spending some time training and working through preparation for our trip!

Encounter Camp - June 11-16, 2023

On June 11-16, we are attending Encounter Camp in Talihina, Oklahoma for Week 1 of Teen Camp. Church Camp is a highlight of many students’ summers. We are very excited to be going back to Encounter Camp this year. Registration is now open! 

Early-Bird Registration is due by April 15th. If registration is done by this date, the cost is only $190. After April 15th, the registration cost is $210. All registrations should be completed by May 31st.

Medical Release Forms

Just a reminder that any student going on an off-campus event with the church (Mission Trip, Church Camp, Other Events) must have a medical release form completed before they are allowed to go on the trip. Here is the form. This form must be notarized! Some of you have already completed this form, and it is valid through July. 31st, 2023.
